How to prepare your trainings for the Federal Learning Account

Updated by Chris Storms

  1. Make sure the Federal Learning Account field is filled in for each training.

How do you know if this field is filled in? Very simply.

  • Go to the Reporting tab
  • Choose Trainings
  • Click View report
  • Sort by the column Federal Learning Account

The Federal Learning Account column indicates the trainings for which this may not have been filled in. A training may appear multiple times in the list as it is shown per employee. However, you adjust the Federal Learning Account field at the training level, for all employees at the same time.

  • Download the report in Excel so you know which courses you still need to update.

How do you update this now?

  • Go to the Organisation tab
  • Choose Training overview
  • Find the training you want to update
  • Open the training with the Pen icon
  • Make a choice in the Federal Learning Account dropdown
What do the different options mean?

Within scope of the FLA
The training will be sent to the FLA and factored into the training balance.

Out of scope of the FLA
The training will be sent to the FLA but NOT factored into the training entitlement. Illogical perhaps but the FLA provides for this possibility.

Do not sent to FLA
The training will not be sent to the FLA.
  • Click on Save

  1. Make sure you have no past training courses with the status ‘To be attended’.

How do you know if this is the case?

  • Go to the Reporting tab
  • Choose Trainings
  • Set the Status filter to To be attended
  • Click View report
  • Check if there are any courses with a past end date where the employee still has the status Still to follow
  • Download the report in Excel so you know which trainings you still need to update.

How do you update this now?

  • Go to the Organisation tab
  • Choose Training overview
  • Find the training you want to update
  • Open the training with the Participant icon
