How do I add a work schedule?
Payroll employees
You can use Payroll to adjust the work schedule of employees who are managed in Payroll. The change will be automatically processed in HR Selfservice Absences by running 'Check for Payroll updates'.
External staff
If the work schedule does not yet exist:
- Go to 'Organisation'.
- Click on 'Work schedules'.
- Click on 'New work schedule' to create a completely new work schedule or on 'Copy work schedule' to copy the currently selected schedule.
- Give the work schedule a name (possible in three languages).
- Enter the number of weeks covered by the work schedule.
- Under reference day, enter a date of which the day corresponds with the start day of the work schedule. (For example, if the first day of the work schedule should be a Monday, you must enter a date here that is a Monday).
- Enter the number of hours per day, select the right service code and the right daily period. If you want to add an extra daily period, you can do so by clicking on the plus next to that day.
Tip: You can use the icons next to the days to copy and paste.
- Then select 'Save'.
Assign the work schedule to an employee.
- Go to 'Employees'.
- Select the employee from the list on the left.
- Click on 'Settings'.
- Select the 'Contracts' tab.
- Click on 'Add work plan'.
- Enter the from (and possibly to) date for the work schedule and select the work schedule from the drop-down list.
- Select 'Save' to keep the changes.
