What is onboarding ?

Updated by Chris Storms

Onboarding allows you to collect the personal data (address, partner data, etc...) of a new employee in a structured way without having to copy the data over from an excel or e-mail.

In addition, you can also ask the new employee to add a number of documents, e.g. a copy of the identity card or driving licence, or a holiday certificate.

How does it work?
  • HR fills in the data that are already available
  • New employee receives e-mail with link to form
  • The new employee completes his/her data and send the form back to HR
  • HR checks the data
    • When not OK, HR sends the form back to the new hire
    • When OK, HR sends the available data with a click to Payroll to finalise the recruitment and e.g. to carry out a Dimona

What else can you do?

Once you have started the onboarding process for the new employee, you have the option to generate documents for this new employee, have them signed, reserve a computer or badge, or schedule training courses.
