How do I set up 2-step authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by protecting it with both your password and a second step. This second step can be done via an authenticator app on your mobile device or via a text message.
What do I need to do?
2FA will be activated automatically.
When 2FA is activated, when logging in or creating your account, you will be asked to set up two-step authentication, either via an authentication app or SMS.
Via an authenticator app.
Perhaps first watch this short video.
Download and install and configure the authenticator app.
Enter the code shown in the authenticator app.
Via text message
Enter your mobile phone number
Enter the code we've sent you.
