How do I make someone an administrator, approver, delegate, observer, planner or evaluator?
HR Selfservice works with the concept of “roles". A role determines what a user can or cannot do in the application. A detailed description of each role can be found here.
You can also manage an employee's role from Employees > Settings > Roles . The principle is the same but you can only manage one employee at a time.
Steps to add a role
- Go to Organisation > Roles.
- Click “Add” next to the desired role:
- Add administrator
- Add approver
- Add planner
- Add delegate
- Add observer
- Add evaluator
- Select the employee to whom you want to assign the role.
- Configure the role:
- For Administrator: select the modules this person will manage. The role applies to all departments.When you want to add someone as an administrator, that person needs a professional account on the mysdworx portal. If no account exists, you will see a message indicating that no professional account was found.
You can then choose to request the creation of a new account or look up the existing account using the username. - For Approver, Planner, Delegate, Observer, Evaluator: select the departments and, if applicable, the modules for which the role applies.
- For Administrator: select the modules this person will manage. The role applies to all departments.
- Advanced settings (only available for the approver role):
- Approve own requests.
- Can approve requests from other approvers.
- Click Save.
